15 Year Reunion Info

The purpose of this Post on our Blog is to share information about our reunion planned for Saturday, August 18th, 2007.

We have reserved Shelter #3 in the back end of the Alden Town Park from noon until dusk.

For example, you could offer to bring a specific dish and see what others are bringing or if you have a volleyball set or horse shoes ... you could let us know. You do this by reading the comments and clicking on the "Comment" button to leave a comment.

We look forward to seeing you there!!

just an idea ...
Alden Town Park
2pm - ?
Picnic Style
There are some nice additions like a paved loop for walking, biking, ... and a good sized play set area near the wading pool. All thank to our hard working town employees.
I'll bring 2 big jars of pickles.

That sounds good, but is the park available? We also may need a permit for alcohol.

Nice work Big Al. And I can't believe you actully found a weekend when I'm in town. I told Boedicker to let you know that if you need help with something let me know. How is the word getting out? And is this with the kids or munchkin-free? Ben

Well - we are officially started. The shelter in the back part of the Alden Town Park is ours from noon 'til dusk. It should be enough time for people to make an appearance given other obligations they might have. Friends and families are welcome.

People who have replied so far that will be able to show up for at least part of it are:
Allen T.
Jodi (P)and Jeff R.
Jane S. (R)
Justin W.
Ben C.

Sounds like a party already.

Hey There!

I hope everyone is doing well! I can actually make it into town that weekend. The 10 year was a blast & I'm looking forward to another great time. Please let me know if I can help. Consider this my RSVP.

Take care,
Brenda

Hello again -

The best way for anyone to help is to spread the word and pass this web address to any old friends in your email contact list.

Also, even if (especially if) you can not attend please leave a comment telling us you are aware so we don't spend extra effort trying to contact you.

A few words about what you are up to would really be great!

Hey Class of 1992.
It's Melissa Maynard. I will be there. I did not make the 10 year either, so I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.
I can bring any of the potato chip and pretzel snacks. I work for Troyer Farms and can get it for nothing. I will check back
periodically to see what the count is so I know how much to bring.
If anyone has any snack requests let me know.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi everyone! I am looking forward to the reunion. I will bring a oriental noodle salad to pass. Al asked us to tell everyone what we are up to so... I am still a stay-at-home mom (although I am rarely at home.) I have 3 now Andrew-5, Emily-2, and Tiffany-6 months. We just sold our house and are starting the building process on a lot on Stage Rd.
I can't wait to see everyone and their families.

For anyone interested, a bunch of us are planning on hitting up a local bar such as the bar & grill or GDI's after. So plan for a late night if you can.

OK - We are getting close to the date. If you have been waiting to call someone to be sure they come, then today is a great day to call.

I'll bring the charcoal and grilling accessories for burgers and dogs.

Here are some other things that people could volunteer to bring.
1. updated contact information for themselves and friends.
2. a laptop so we can all enter the info and prevent some poor schlep from having to type in all in later.
3. sound system
4. large sign to identify our shelter
5. time capsule items
6. photos
7. any other ideas

see you there

Is it BYO for burgers, dogs, and beverages? We'll bring a layered jello and dessert. Let us know if there is anything else needed. See you Saturday. Weather looks good!!

Since I will be traveling in from Ohio I can bring plates, napkins,
cups, silverware, and some sort of baked good.

Yes, it will be BYO for your meat of choice and beverages.

I have heard pretty firm commitments to come from about 25 people (plus some significant others and kids).

I'll be getting there at about 2p.m. and plan on starting the grill about 4p.m. My cooler will be open by 2:15 :).

A few more names that I've heard are coming:
Amy N. (flying in)
Jeff L.
Paul S.
Jane S. (B) - corrected
Jeff C.
Patti M. (N)
Brenda S.
Ann Marie K. (F)
Melissa M.
Kristine and Vinnie F.
Tom B.
Jeff M.

... I hope there are some more out there waiting to make their big surprise entrance.

Looking forward to Saturday, we'll be tagging along with Brenda. My two little boys (Philip 3 1/2 yrs old and Nicholas 3 months) and my husband will be with me. Will try to bring a few games for the kids and a Greek tomato salad.

We'll be heading up on Saturday as well - after nap time I guess. (For the kids, not me!) I'll bring a pizza and hopefully a dessert.

Hello All

Wow 15 yrs! Looks like it is going to be a good time. I will see if my hubby will come with, not sure what he has going on this weekend. But I will be there at some point. Not sure what I would bring, I will have to think about it. Can't wait to catch up with everyone!

See you there!

It was a success!!

Thanks to everyone who came. It was great to see you all and reminisce and talk about our lives.

This Blog will remain active so please feel free to comment on this post or the other one to let us know what is new.

Perhaps we can get together informally for a night next summer. At the very least we will hopefully see each other for our 20th in 2012. We'll make a better effort to contact everyone. If you want to be sure you are contacted you need to email me your contact info.

Thanks again!!
